Temple Of The Black Light (TOTBL).

It's been quite a lengthly period of time since I last came through here. I've been rather occupied as of late. However, amongst my studies of the Occult and through examination of certain works, I've come across the Temple Of The Black Light, an organisation that didn't spark much of an interest to me until I noticed their devotion towards Set, unusual Gnostic/Luciferian/somewhat Setian belief systems, Chaos Magick and Qilphoth. I was also quite fascinated to find that IAXAAR was a common publisher of their works. I'm currently considering purchasing their "Book Of Sitra Achra" for aid towards my personal path of utilising Death Energies to an extent that is not foolish, rather "dangerous", albeit with necessary precautions (of course, risks shall forever endure). If you have background knowledge of this organisation, you'll likely better understand why I am therefore considering purchasing this work.

I would like to hear your opinions of this group.. do satisfy my curiosity of them, if you will? Do any of you own the title I am considering? If so, I would love to hear your review of it.

I obtained a copy this evening of it. 218 current. Wrathful Gnostic left hand path. Tehom meaning Chaos.

I have worked with the dark spheres earlier. I still travel there. Very helpful.

How did the material work out for you?

Very well, all in all. The Current 218 serves well for me. Although, there were some areas I discovered/felt to be of quite a pure "Sethian" nature (this was to be expected, of course). I chose not to allow this to prevent my growth and experimented as needed, and where I could. Of course, the true magnitude of Death Energies and Chaosophy relates to the nature of Seth in different forms, but this particular area of work is something else. Quite the surprise.. it's certainly expanded my views on Death energies, to say the least. I am more in tune with said energies, now, yet my path for this has not yet ended. There is still far more being revealed to me as I progress, as with all things. Further expansion into this path has opened doors to multiple ways and systems relating to Death Magick in general, and I do fully intend to seek further knowledge in this system for the purposes that remain. It's power does well to expel all illusions.. burning ego in embers and roaring flame, leaving only Will, Spirit and the Dark that accompanies such in it's most "primal" form.. the Wrath is unforgiving, yet necessary. Not every Occultist or Seeker is prepared for this in it's most true form, this I know. If desired to be fully discovered, it must be pursued with true knowledge of Self, and true intent. Self Evolution is the true goal of spiritual pursuits.. Enlightenment is but a temporary achievement on an endless path of ever-knowing.. the true answer to the purpose of THAT, however.. now that is an achievement worth seeking.


I feel I have been guided to this path at a fundamental level.. I had sought ignorance as a means to answer for things in the past, even with experience in the areas I have subjected myself to. Such has been corrected by seeking out all that I had left hidden to me. Foolishness I cannot allow, in my time and work.. I have learned lessons needed to be learned, and I forgive myself of the actions leading up to such things.

I ask you, Maxx, and others, are you familiar with the practices of The Aghori? I have been recently pointed in this direction, yet I must approach with knowledge before moving forward. I have done background research to a small extent, yet I do wish to know more.

I see many things in their practices and beliefs that I personally agree with, while others I do not wish to relate to. It would be interesting for me to view someone else's walk into that practice and to see how someone fully dedicated to walking with Shiva grows in that element or is destroyed within the element. Would be like an education documentary that I would watch on tv. lol.

I dunno about 218... was reading Sitra Ahra the other week and in the intro it's all "ye olde black wizurd must use these dragonz for pure destruction in name of the nightside path lest he wishes to invite death blah blahh..." Some of their writing certainly has practical merit, but it seems like the books are aimed at a certain demographic. The author seems a bit too stuck in an unbalanced current to achieve growth beyond his own little circle.
