Drugs and the third eye? (Please be mature about this)

First; a little backstory. I am a teenage guy. I've always been kind of weird, but never looked into anything occult, mainly I just enjoyed fantasy stories and games n stuff. One day when I was smoking up with a buddy, I decided to hit a particularily large bowl of keif. For those of you who don't know, that is the crystals on marijuana. A few minutes after, about when the effects really started to hit me, out of nowhere thoughts started coming into my head. The 'loudest' one, or the strongest thought was 'magic is real'. I just somehow knew. I also 'thought' that magic and magical ability was connected to belief and willpower, and that was why there is no magic easily visible in society. I also knew of the existence of ghosts, demons and energy. At first I thought I was going crazy, or tripping out. Once i had calmed down a little, I did some internet research. Over the course of a few months, one thing led to another, and now you're reading this forum post.

Please, any thoughts and speculations about the relationship between drugs and the metaphysical would be highly appreciated.

There are many that have become part of the drug culture while trying at the same time to become part of the world of magic in that effort, and even becoming famous while doing so....(but I see these as operating in a negative fashion, personally).......and I do not see many of those that had a peaceful end to their experiences within their life purpose.  That is an individual choice.  But what one accomplishes using a drug for enhancement in magic work can certainly be accomplished by hard work and effort without using a crutch of a drug to try and get results in the easy way.....besides at that point, you cannot obtain results unless you become addicted to using that certain drug to help you get there.....lol.

The most important lesson to learn while living in a physical body is that we learn to manipulate energy.  When we become aware of what that means, we can create anything we desire or need.  This statement when read by many people can create many concepts of mental visions and result in many different ideas as to my words.  Choosing the correct vision suited to my meaning will make all the difference in the world.  That can also be applied to how I use the drug connection.  

Learning what your real body looks like when you travel to another universe or other locations and moving from city to city in the twinkling of an eye.....like the instant creation of a thought is much more rewarding than smoking some crap for escape.
When one learns that you can create a thought and have that thought turn into a thought form in that other dimension, and then in turn form into a physical manifestation before your very eyes, might make one find confidence in spending time in learning what we are doing here in the first place....and what we have chosen to come into this world and become.

I'm well aware of drug interactions and uses in the occult world however I personally prefer to achieve my metaphysical goals without the use of such substances. I have chosen to do the hard work myself and walk the harder path in order to reach higher planes where drugs just can't take you. If you dwell too much on such aids you will never learn to empower things by yourself and that is what real magick is. If you do the hard work you will discover that will and energy are far more powerful than any drug.

Thank you for those deep insights. Although I do use somewhat frequently, now I do moreso with friends for pleasure, as i find a distorted mindset affects my ability so meditate to my full potential.

I know that in ancient egypt, marijuana was considered a sacred herb, and I wonder if somehow that particular instance triggered something inside myself that caused a sort of awakening.

P.S, Maxx, I have had some success already with creating and attempting the physical manifestation of thoughtforms .

It might have been the drugs, or it might just have been the... different state of mind caused by drugs. I would go into detail, but I've never tried drugs, so I can't say much about it.

Like people have mentioned here, in previous posts in this topic .. there are many that has used drugs in history ( shamans, priests , priestesses exc ... ) from different cultures, even today , HOLY MEN use different kinds of herbs to invoke a different state of mind.
However THey also state that its not a safe approach, and I happen to agree with them.
Its not safe to experiment with drugs to alter your mind set, it has Bad side effects .. and non witch you would like to live with... Like they said ...
