Why is the last Sephirot in the Kabbalah tree ( meaning earth ) (mostly now a days) referred to as Malkhut … when in earlier times it was referred to as Shekhinah, that agains refers to the female aspect of god ? or Am I missing something ?

Shekhinah as a feminine aspect is the princess that has fallen, an offspring from the union of Kether and Binah. It's fine as a kabbalistic tale but Malkuth better represents the reality of this mundane sephiroth and the element Earth as it means kingdom. It should not be attached to feminine or masculine aspects of deity.

Well, I was watching this: , and in the zohar there is a description that represent the body of god, and in that Ancient document the last sephriot is in fact the Shekhinah, so Im a bit confused…

It is my understanding that the Kabbalah originated in Egypt, and was "acquired" by Judaism.

I'm inclined to agree with the Egyptian origin theories concerning the Kabbalah.

Did some further digging on the origins of the Qabbalah. It still seems to indicate that its origins are Egyptian. The information I came across is scattered and piecemeal;so I didn't think it worthwhile posting links.

Also. The Qabbalah indicates egyptian origins as opposed to the later Hebrew spelling ,Kabbalah.I presume the same applies to Qliphoth/Klippoth.

Sorry I couldn't come up with more.

There are some indirect mentions of the Kabbalah in the book of the dead. In the current translation I am reading, when discussing Seth and Horus as opposite archtypes in light and darkness. The book attributes Seth to the left side of god and Horus to the right. Although its not very in-depth, the symbolism is still there.

Also, it mentioned Seth 'riding forth' with his 72 comrades when fighting a war. Fun parallels all around.

Nah, I am referring to the book of the dead Razz

The Goetia came along a bit later in time, if memory serves correctly.

The parrallels may or may not be there, it's all about interpretation Smile

Ahh...I see.Must admit to not being that familiar with The Book of the Dead. It's on my to do list. However,I can see that Khemetic traditions would serve as a source for later occult philosophies and systems.

Oh.. I must also add … that its no secret that All trading countries at that time "borrowed" knowledge from one another .. so to say who came first… ( for now ) is like saying the hen came before the egg… hard facts and data .. has to back up statements … all else is hypothetical …

@ Divine.Good point about hard facts.I must admit I sometimes find my self going down rabbit holes quite often when trying to follow a line of investigation, and actually enjoying it.This is partly due to the learning experience;bit also the mind is a bit like a dog gnawing on a bone! :face
