Asetians and purity

I was hoping a few of the people on this forum might be able to shed some light on a confusing situation I've been thinking about.
On a thread about Viperines, I found a discussion that sort of disheartened me toward this path. Now, I know it was an old thread, but it seemed out of character to my previous opinion on the Aset Ka.
Do the Aset Ka members really look down on those who aren't virgins?
It seemed to be sort of a petty thing to condemn a potential donor for. Do a person's actions really count as far as what they do before their awakening? The path seemed to be a very non-superficial one, a spiritual quest. Being concerned about a donor's previous sexual experience seemed to be something that would be a personality thing among Asetians, not a widespread belief that all potential donors and partners had to be virgins.

Im guessing you are talking about the viperines  and the Virgin tread ?

That is a very old tread …  and its a very silly one .. cause as sexual beings that they are, their  curiosity  will hold sway over them ..

Besides if we look back, egypt has one of the most sexual historical documents in the world ( evsept maybe for the sex temple in india : ,

Rhea Kaye when the word purity is mentioned in Asetian texts, and it's indeed a recurring one, I don't think it's in any way related to virginity or anything physical for that matter. We are talking about spiritual and mental purity and has nothing to do with sex.
Asetians are known for being very sexual beings and legend has it that they are the best lovers incarnating in this realm. I guess that answers your question.

Many of our ideas have changed since that thread as meanwhile we have learned a lot more about the Asetians and their culture. Still there is a lot of guesswork at play and assumptions but the scope of information is improving. Keep in mind that we're all learning and our knowledge changes.

Now if you speak about loyalty then that's an entirely different subject and something they would probably be very elitist about, at any level.

Anyway, the papyrus of turin is a highly sexual papyrus that depicts gods and goddess in sexual interactions also other texts that are related…

I am guessing that also the egyptians had their own form of the hieros gamos as well …

For me sex is not only a sacred act, its also a art form …

And there where girls in the ancient lands that actually was brought up with this knowledge and was learned how to give maximal pleasure, and most of them where priestesses …

So you have to decide where your line goes … and remember that a lot changed with the church .. not all bad, not all good … but that always have to have with point of view and personal perception ..

@jonathan agree, peoples perception around here has changed quite a lot … and also yes, And I agree also with the loyalty and honer part and Yes again, purity does have to do with the soul …

Thank you all for the helpful responses. That was what I initially took from the AB--that the Asetians value purity as far as being loyal and always honest, above other things. It is part of the reason why I identify so strongly with Asetianism. The very thought of betraying my partner makes me completely revolted and when I see people interacting with each other in everyday life, I find myself thinking, "Why are humans like this?"
(And then I feel like a nutcase because I'm placing myself outside of the human group.)

Yeah Rhea, sex is beautiful. The catholic church represses human sexuality in an attempt to keep the creative power of the people dormant, which is probably where all the sexual stigmatization comes from.

Only in heterosexuals. For what I know homosexuality is allowed and the abuse of children.
