Precognition Empty Precognition

Post by Daniel09 19.02.11 21:20

I would like to hear what other members know about precognition and dreams. I have been doing some research on it, and it would appear that there are a few types of precognitive dreams. There is the symbolic, the literal, the third-person, and the lucid. I know for certain that I have experienced a literal precognitive dream, in which I experienced a memory from two months in the future with someone I hadn't met in a place I hadn't been yet. I also feel that one dream was symbolic of the future.

What all is known about dreams of the future, and does anyone know how to spur the occurrence of them to make them more frequent?

I don't really know if you can actually bring them on at will, or as you say spur the occurrence. What I know is that you can work with your dream ability to enhance and , so to speak, "open the door" a bit wider.

Two very important tools are a dream diary and a good relaxation / visualization routine before sleep. While lying down relax your muscles and ground yourself as if preparing for meditation, then visualize yourself in the way best works with you finding certain answers or advancing in time. You could go as far as to ask yourself questions that you hope your dreams to answer, but that is normally too limiting because at first, until you master this ability - and it takes years, believe me - you will mostly find yourself having random precognitions.

But, however, "telling" your mind to ready itself for these special dreams and using visualization techniques that will work for you - such as leaving a door open in the middle of a room that represents your subconscious, or "building" up a stairway to an upper window that leads to your third eye - are great ways to facilitate these events.

The dream diary will help you understand your dreams - even the ones that apparently are not precognitory. Whenever you can, and if you remember, write down your dreams in the greatest possible detail. Try to do it right after waking up, because they will soon "fly away" from your mind. You can use these records to try and find patterns, symbols or signs that might give off information.

Also, to bring on vivid dreams - and even mold them as you wish - you can try to induce a special pre-REM sleep state. This is done by going back to sleep after waking up, but not totally. Just set your alarm for, say, 2 hours before it normally goes off (one of those alarm clocks that has two different alarms would be perfect) and then when it wakes you up turn it off and go right back to sleep. It should not be hard, because you are probably still very sleepy. But just before you drift off, try to "tell" your mind to take you on one of these precognitory experiences. Or just to dream something that you might find useful. And then don't forget to write it down!

I hope this you find this useful.

Regards.

Syrianeh's post was very good and self-explanatory, so I don't have much to add to it, except that my personal experience with precognitory phenomenon has been mostly by the means of visions through the Third Eye Shen and not much through dreams. I'm aware that dreams is the method most people use to access such knowledge, but in my case it doesn't usually work like that. Not sure why.

@Syrianeh
Nice post Smile

@Daniel
Have you ever had Precognition in your dreams before ?
The reason I ask, Is because; If you have, it is easier to recognize them after you have made a dream journal.
Actually whit a dream journal you will also remember your dreams more easily. ( but you probably knew that )
From my experience whit this type of thing, it is often that the accrual dream does not even need to be interpenetrated, cause its is basically very strait forward, and the dreams are usually about things that will effect your life in a big way, lets call it the consciousness way of working whit it before it happens, to lesser the shock.

Most of my dreams seem to be symbolic and are manifestation of future elements.I believe most people would be able to see patterns between their dreams and their waking life if they were able to remember them.If you are able to induce lucid dreams and you knew where to go in the dream after that you would have dreams that would foretell parts of your future.Some of this dreams are manifestation of the ego yet most in my experience have meaning.This might be your subconsious sending messages(communication with the higher self) or spirits effecting the dream.
