Well, most of you already know a good deal on vampire history, and probably already know what this is going to be about. However, I just wanted to get some interaction so the forum looks alive. I have been researching on some history of the Anne Rice series based on what she believes how the histories have started.

This may seem cliché on some of the older ones who already know most or nearly all the history, but again, this would be a friendly debate. I came across an interesting history of Anne Rice, reading one of her articles on how the twins of 'those who must be kept' came about.

If you don't know who I'm talking about, look up Maharet and Mekare. Most of you may think this is folly, but if you really look at the history, do you think it's possible that this was how it was started? I'm trying to find the link again, but it is proving quite difficult. It may also explain a few things in different view points. I can tell you that according to their link, they summoned the Demon Ennui to possess Queen Akasha when she was human, they were in jail at the time for their practices. Because of their torment, the demon wreaked havoc and developed a taste for blood, making Queen Akasha and King Enkil to exchange blood making them the first blood drinkers.

When I find the link, I will post it, but it is proving hard for me to find it, I was reading on it yesterday but I can't seem to find it again. What do you guys think about this? I am merely giving my thoughts so please don't feel offended. And most of this I read online. I have a possible solution though to this?? Is it possible to exorcise the demon out of already made vampires? This seems to be the ultimate question based on our history should this be what happened. But AGAIN, this is a FRIENDLY debate, so please enjoy giving your opinions, but make sure you're civil.

SO I found a temporary link, I wish to correct myself, the demon's name was Amel.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maharet_and_Mekare

above is the link you can look at, but I am trying to mind more links about them. Amel only started havoc because of something that happened to them. I'm trying to find the link.

This link should tell most of their history, so I hope this helps. Sorry for the confusion :-(

Also please note, I am not suggesting anyone is of this nature, so again, please don't get offended and sorry if it seemed this way.

Just to clarify things, I have been reading on the Asetian History, so believe me, I am reading as much as I can. One of my newest goals before the end of this year is to obtain a copy of the Asetian Bible.

Sorry Raven.  You will not get much conversation here on that as Anne Rice material is all fiction and was created from that vein.   This is the problem with what I mentioned before.  This is the kind of material that the vampire community all over the net reads and become delusional and associate with it as they are the subjects written about in the books in their non reality mind.  There is no basis for truth in any of her books.

PM me your mailing address and I will have the Asetian bible mailed to your address.  I know what your situation is there so I am more than happy to do that for you.

I sent a PM your way, Raven.

I would be interested to see if members would be open for debating metaphysical topics such as shielding or the usage of constructs?

Raven, those characters in the Anne Rice novels are fiction and not real entities. Yes she established some connections between vampires and Ancient Egypt in her novels which is an idea she probably borrowed from Asetian lore in hear early years, like many different authors did. You see elements that took inspiration from Asetianism in many cultures and artists. There are a lot of fictional books, painters, dancers and song writers that have at one point or another took from Asetian symbolism and history to inspire their work. Studying all those clues spread in pop culture may be interesting but it's important not to focus too seriously on it, especially when we can go to the source and learn from real Asetian material.

I'm happy to see other members of this community willing to help new seekers in their journey so kudos to Maxx and Rhea.

Thanks Jonathan, your advice is well appreciated. I agree, they are fictional. I will have to continue to read more on it, there is so much to read!! To top it off, I can't wait to start reading the AB.
