Ok so I'm extremely confused about Aset and Seth. I was told that Aset and Seth are seen as the mother and father of vampires. However, there are two distinct bloodlines... ok so then I wrote some thing about Aset and Seth being the mother and father of vampires but then I was told that they are not the mother and father of all vampires. I was told that Aset is the mother of Asetians and Seth was the father of Sethians. But then someone said that there is no such things as Sethianism.

Can someone please explain... I know that I should read the Asetians Bible, and I will...I just don't have the money to right now =(

Well Seth is the creator of the Sethians, as we all know. The biggest confusion around all that in here is what path do Sethians follow? From what I see, the path is Asetianism, since they do accept the Asetian phylosophies, practice Asetian metaphysics and magick along all that. They just don't worship Aset. But besides the worship of Aset in Asetianism there are all those phlisophical and metaphysical tenets that form the Asetian framework right? And I do believe Sethians follow that. You don't have to be an Asetian to follow Asetianism... Keepers follow Asetianism, many other humans follow Asetianism, I am sure that several witches follow Asetianism, and I think that Sethians follow it too. I mean, there is no such thing as Sethianism, there is no such religion, since it would have the exact same concepts as Asetianism except they would worship Seth instead of Aset. But no, both Aset and Seth are part of the Asetian tradition, among with many other deities from the Egyptian pantheon.

I want you hear your opinions as well. Smile

I view most of your interpretations as accurate, Jonathan. You are indeed treading on a subject that more often than not leads to several misconceptions.
