Why Porto? Why Not Egypt?

A question that comes to the mind of many of us, when we realize where the headquarters of the Aset Ka is located, is... why do they incarnate in Portugal? Why is the hq in Porto? Why not Egypt?

As usual, I have a few thoughts on this. Maybe they do not incarnate in their home land, Egypt, because it is hard to live there nowadays, where the freedom is less, due to the Islamic religion. Maybe they incarnate in Porto because of its magickal background...

I'll be looking forward to your ideas.

I would think it's because it's not so much important exactly where you incarnate, but what you can accomplish there.

I believe their reason of incarnating in Portugal usually, and why their headquarters is in Porto, is mostly metaphysical. If you come to think of it, there are countless other real magickal orders and metaphysical houses in Portugal, and surprisingly, some in Porto. One is Ordem Peninsular, also known as the OP. Another would be the OTP... And the House of Poison... What we should ask here is why the other orders would have chosen that ground... and perhaps we will get a more clear understanding of the reasons behind why the AK chose that particular location.

No one is sure as to where the 'headquarters' of the Aset Ka lay. Though, the cemetery of Agramonte is my personal choice.

I have heard about Agramonte... but I don't believe it is the ground of the AK, from what I have heard.

Agramonte is a well known, large, gothic cometary located in Boavista, Porto. It is said to be a dangerous place during the night due to the beings and people that are within it, such as witches, some vampires, and even “slayers”. Overall, it is a beautiful place. The reason why I said that the AK hq would not be there, is simply because it makes no sense. Not only because that place seems to be already “taken over” by others, but it is quite an obvious place for a “gathering”. I would imagin the AK hq being somewhere unknown to others. Secrecy is one of their powers, after all...

I believe the AK's headquarters location in Europe, most notably in Portugal, is given to reasons of metaphysical nature. It is a highly strategical location in Europe, with a very old culture of magick and the occult, surrounded by secrecy and myth. The perfect background for a secret Order to strive in silence and find some privacy. There might be other reasons for the choosing of this location as well, as the energy alignment in the Earth field, probably making it easier for metaphysical control and security as well as ensuring the proper return through reincarnation of the Asetian Elders.

But let us all keep in mind that Porto is simply a place where they keep their secret stronghold and main temples, but it does not represet at all the diversity of AK's hot spots and range of its influence. There are highly known locations of AK control in other countries like Russia, England and Iran. So don't underestimate the AK's silent influence merely to their definitive control over the city of Porto. Beware of their influence in the Middle East, where some of their voices go deeper than in many actual places in Europe...
