Eyes

Ever since I was a tyk I have been intreagued by eyes, my first immpression on someone was always paying attention to their eyes. I would marvel at the color, how intense their gaze was, what thoughts and personality were hidden behind ones eyes. I never look certain people in the eyes(its a thing of mine, i don't beleive in looking one of higher authority in the eyes) but whenever I got the chance I would look long and hard, and then those of lower authority to me that was a way of showing my dominance by just giving them one intense glare. I just beleive that eyes are the most beautiful and powerful visual part of beings. People I know usually say they see mystery and darkness in my eyes and most fear my gaze, while others love the color and warmth my eyes can show like for one, my old friend. So I mainly made this post to see what others thought on this topic.

I would always look into the eyes of others in order to read their thoughts. I have a very keen intuition and I can see into ones personality (I would even dare to say soul) just by looking at their eyes.

I would never let anyone look into my eyes because I felt they could read my thoughts.

I know what you mean because my intuition has never failed me in this respect. I have even formed strong and deep bonds by gazing into the eyes of someone I truly loved. I felt like our souls linked through that Shen center....

Some fear my gaze and they look away... As I look into their eyes, they show me their intentions, emotions... the eyes tell me about the person...

I agree with you Azrael. I look into people's eyes to really LOOK AT THEM, at what they feel and who they are. Few people dare lookme in the eye.
The eyes, being secondary shens, tend to have a lot of energy. It is one of the easiest ways to penetrate into someone's being. We can go beyond just looking into them to actually messing with them.
Personally when someone can't look me in the eye I find it hard not to trust them cuz I feel there is something within them they are trying to hide.....

Well, with everyone that I engage in conversations with, I look directly in the eyes. This applies to those I respect and with those whom I do not. I observe. I listen.

I honestly don't pay a whole lot of attention. I always focus on the eyes, but just because people show their emotions through their eyes. You can't exactly get a good idea by looking at lower more private areas.

so alot of us agree that eyes are very important thing about people. Yes I look into people's eyes and its like a door to your soul, your eyes hold passion and personality and with some, mystery. Humans that i'v interacted with that actually pay attention to this stuff have stated more than once that my eyes hold mystery, pain and they seem haunted by my past, and it is true, my past was something that people wouldn't think of me, people underestimate my past until they've actually heard what happened. I had a friend once that said she wanted my life, I just laughed and told her "if you knew the depths to my life and what has actually gone on in my life you wouldn't be so thrilled to have it." then i mildly asked her what is it that she likes about my life and she said that it appeared there was no drama in my life, she was only half right. So as i'm trying to say (i get sidetracked alot) that eyes can really tell you about a person as it seems we all know about here.

People say I have "haunted eyes" too, "distant" they say, like I "belong to another time".

Eyes , will always be the souls mirror....

The eyes can be revealing of one's secrets, or it can by another side show us that the person has a full world of enigmatic mysteries inside her/him. So they can be mirrors of the soul or not, depending on the person an her/him purposes and goals.

My true eyes only one person sees them how they truly are. Cause I wear contact lenses

Yes, eyes are the doors to our souls, also depending on how your soul is. Lately since i've been gone from here i've had people telling me that my eyes look mysterious and intimidating, some have even said they don't look like the eyes of a 13 year old but the eyes of someone whos seen alot and been around for a long time,some one with life experiance. true I have seen alot but trust me, i'm still young and have alot to experiance, people say that we never stop learning in our lifetimes, we always have something to learn or experience. And I guess the intimidating thing is true, all though I am not proud. A boy was picking on me at school, and with one unblinking stare, i put as much anger as i could in it even though I really can't, anger isn't a well known personality of mine. and as soon as he met my eyes he backed off, the other boys telling him "hey, back off dude, that girl can beat your tail quick man." so he hasn't messed with me, and I have actually made a pretty civil alliance with him
