Asetiantism causing a predatory transformation of the soul? Empty Asetiantism causing a predatory transformation of the soul?

Post by DCxMagus 20.04.12 3:38

This is something I have been thinking about as of late, mostly because of quite a few occurrences I've had with friends of old and acquaintances of late.

Realize I speak of a predatory nature as an intense drive to always better ones self both in the physical and the spiritual, not some silly notion of "we are predators here to feast on mundane prey". Also realize I believe any being, Asetian, otherkin, or human alike who are sensitive to energy and energy working as a whole goes through an awakening period. Do not mistake this as assuming I'm a lost Asetian or hold that belief.

After I awoke to energy and my vampiric nature in general I quickly lost my "fire" in terms of an overall drive. This was complicated by heavy use of drugs to compensate for the immense "lost" feeling and disconnection I had with the general populace as a whole. Even after the drug use stopped years later I had always felt that my drive was gone and for a while I simply mistook this as growing older and out of that rebellious phase. Only recently in my discovery of Asetiantism have I felt like my intense, competitive, predatory self again. It's a wonderful and energizing feeling.

Do you believe those that are drawn to, and are able to stay, with the study of Asetiantism are transformed on a Divine Self level into more predatory type of beings or is it that the souls of those same people were always predatory and after finding a home in Asetiantism may have just been that spark that is needed to re-ignite the fire of that true predatory nature they always had and my have forgotten or lost after awakening?

Asetiantism causing a predatory transformation of the soul? Empty Re: Asetiantism causing a predatory transformation of the soul?

The funny thing, I've been in debates about "predatory nature" and despise those who believe, "we are predators here to feast on mundane prey". This kind of thinking, is so ridiculous and makes those who speak like that sound like clowns. Actually, I also despise the word "mundane" as it is used to elevate oneself from everyone else-- which is the same thing that "mundanes" do when it comes to social status, class, material possessions, etc. thus it is a "mundane" act. Smile So, I see the vampires who use that word as being no different and totally "mundane". Smile Now, when it comes to the feasting part, I want to present them with a bowl of Fruit Loops and tell them how fruity they sound as they make themselves sound like cannibals. Smile))) Hehehe.

Well, truth be told, I do not like the word "vampire" either and oddly enough, I can handle more Hollywood's presentation of vampires over the majority of "vampires" in the VC, especially the ones who claim they are bad-ass vampires. So to those predatory cannibals, I'd love to have a Scarface moment and say, "Come say hello to my little friend!" Sure, I'm not Tony, but these people wouldn't stand a chance to a gun and are professing illogical rubbish in order to feel more secure with Self. The one who holds the gun (assuming one can use it, and lacks the stupidity of the typical girl who trips over her own feet and takes 10 minutes to get up as in horror movies) will be the better predator for the moment. Smile

Now, enough with my rant, you mentioned something (that "silly notion") that just makes me laugh a lot and shake my head. Oh these people!

While, my view/definition of "predatory nature" may be different than yours, that's okay. I can understand where you are coming from and do understand the message you are conveying. I see your definition as what I consider to be a quest/drive for enlightenment, which such quest can be done regardless of if one thinks about "predatory nature" or not as we can all seek out enlightenment and evolve, though, I am not saying that you were saying otherwise.

Can I answer your questions at the bottom of your post? No, any answer will be an opinion not based on "fact/proof" but on choice of what I want/choose to believe, as with everyone. Honestly, we don't truly know the answer to that. And to be even more honest, any answer which would imply that what you mentioned above is actually true, then that would be, essentially, Ego-driven. With that said, I say whatever the case, it doesn't matter. All that matters is your flame was reignited for whatever reason, and that you are feeling good.

Lastly, I just want to make a comment in regards to "those who are able to stay." If one stays, if one leaves, such makes one not better than the other or vice/versa. All have an individual path to walk and what matters is being True to Self and finding ones way. And no, I am not saying or implying that you were even saying anything bad towards those who leave. Was just a thought that I wanted to sahre.

DCxMagus I agree with what you said about the predatory nature. Many people confuse what is like being predatory with illusions of fantasy and ego. In Asetianism I believe that being predatory has nothing to do with "feast on mundane prey", so I very much agree with you. It's a much more deep and spiritual thing. Something felt inside.

You asked a very interesting question, if Asetianism has the power to ignite a fire inside its followers or students as you prefer to call them/us. I would say definitely yes, but I am only answering from personal experience and my own inner discoveries with the path. I can't say I read this anywhere or was stated by the AK. But it makes a lot of senseā€¦

N.Augusta I agree with your view on predatory nature and how silly some make it sound, as I also share your opinion on the VC at large. Actually we should call it OVC as the VC is an entirely different animal and often unrelated.
Now I don't fully agree with you when it comes to the word mundanes. I can see your point, just don't really agree with it. We can call mundanes without being an act of ego and having no relation to social status. In my opinion that shouldn't even be used to distinguish humans from vampires, as there are many humans who are not mundane and self-professed vampires that sure seem to be mundane. Still there are many mundane people out there and I don't exactly dislike the word or share your hate towards it.

Jonathan, you're right, OVC not VC. I often forget to throw in the "O" there. Wink And, I couldn't agree with you more with your opinion. --> "In my opinion that shouldn't even be used to distinguish humans from vampires, as there are many humans who are not mundane and self-professed vampires that sure seem to be mundane." <--- Now, you see, this is contributes to my dislike/hate of the word "mundane" and because, the majority of the time that I see it being used, it is by those clowns I mentioned, and how they profess that "people are my food" and how they use it to separate "human" from "vampire" and do use it to degrade. It is exactly this common overused use of the word by the OVC, at large, that gets under my skin. And lastly, I couldn't agree more with you when you said, "Many people confuse what is like being predatory with illusions of fantasy and ego." This is so TRUE!

Never underestimate predatorial patience for a true predator enjoys concealing its presence whilst fooling its prey with silence. Smile A true predator has no need or desire to go about boasting how humans are their food and how they are some bad arse mamma jamma vampire/vampiri/vampyre, or however they want to spell it, which is used to separate. Hell, I can't keep up! Smile But, some people live in fantasy worlds, and unfortunately, the internet is a place where people live out their fantasies. *Sighs*

No matter who one is, I believe that anyone who loves this path, will be changed by it
