Any suggestions on good books? Empty Any suggestions on good books?

I'm always on the hunt for good books, definitely it counts for occult toppics and I must admit that for vamp toppic too.

I have Asetian collection and books of Father Sebastiaan, as you probably already know. But would love to see if you can suggest me other books on the toppic that are at least worth of reading... if there even are any.

Also if you have any recomendations on good occult books, I'm always oppen to posibility.

If Luis Marques included a text in his work, I consider it a valuable learning resource whether of true knowledge or exposure of fiction and fake knowledge. It may be appropriate to discuss those texts and resources separately.. (those with asterisks*** are works of fiction.)

I am somewhat far from the topic here, but I will still make my small contribution to the note.
There is one Russian author: Ksenia Menshikova. I have been studying with her for many years. She has her own website and a whole selection of occult books. These books are sorted by religious, doctrines, absolutely different, different directions. I listen to this author's YouTube video, but she speaks Russian. Therefore, at least the book can be translated, especially in the electronic version, it can probably be found and translated using an automatic translator. I like that she reviews everything.
I will add to those that are already here (some I know and have read): The Egyptian Book of the Dead, the Vedas, Homer (all books), almost any of the ancient books contains hidden keys, it is not necessary that it be occult, Lao Tzu, the Elder Edda, Julia Wang's book (I don't know if you will find, I have it on paper), "The Book of Witchcraft Keys" by Mansur, Alexander Sheps (but this is very individual), the Small Key of Solomon, the Book of Jonah.
Barely found it: "The Book of Gates", "The Book of Breath", "The Book of the Afterlife", "The Book of the Earth", "The Book of the Heavenly Cow", "The Book of Caves", "The Litany of Ra", "The Book of Pyramids", "The Book of Sarcophagi", "The History of the Ancient East. Texts and documents". Тексты и документы" - Yandex is twisting the names, so I'll give you more in Russian.
-------------------
I don't pretend to be a particularly smart message right now (laughter).

Can I ask, those who had read it, how big value you see in Crowley's The Book of the Law?

I would recommend anything by Katherine Kurtz. I was particularly fond of her Deryni series, The Adept series was also very good. Just my 2 cents.

Morell wrote:Also if you have any recomendations on good occult books, I'm always oppen to posibility.

I don't know your personal definition of what makes it a good book, and precision is important part of the work.

So when you say any, are you referring to a specific level (basic, intermediate, advanced (for simple grouping)), are you looking for exaltation of theory, or are you looking to expand your practice? Or both?

I'm asking all of these because I generally only recommend books that I have myself thoroughly read, understood, and have put into practice, since that reveals another layer of understanding in some. Especially through repetition. Both in reading and applying. That signifies it as a good book for me, although not the only factor for it.

I do also have books I have not yet read, but are on my list and acquired it from those I confide in. Hence my question to you on its aim and level at least, which I hope you don't mind.

I am sure there are people here who are far more versatile in occult literature than me, but perhaps neither do they have time to index it all out, properly for each aim and branch, nor perhaps they think it is responsible against the work of those authors to connect them to readers who may be currently disinterested, respecting your time, effort & attention as well as of their own.

Hope these make sense. Looknig forward to your answer,
if I'm capable to answer and fill your need that is.

Those are some really good questions to consider when looking for the books. Thanks for them.

I think I can barely call myself anything more than novice.
Things changed since I posted original request. Currently working on my practice and one thing I'm afraid I need the most is to slow down and practice...

...on second thought, I'm looking around for book Thursakingi 2 - Loki, so if anyone knows where to get it without being very overpriced, I would be glad. I caree for the contents, not for fancy overpriced editions.
