I would also like to know...can anyone please inform me on how to delete my profile permanently? I am not doing this out of offense for any members, in fact I have learned much here and I am grateful. I just need my privacy and I would like to erase any traces of myself from all of the sites that I can.

I think you can change your username or something but I don't think you can delete your profile.

This was explained above. Their system doesn't delete accounts. You can request to have it blocked, which is like deactivation as you mentioned, but your posts won't be deleted.
