Just wanting to say hello...
Hello,
I just registered here today and already posted before seeing this section so I thought now it would be good manners to introduce myself. I am interested in all things occult and have read various books on Vampires and Vampirism, including the Sanguinomicon and the Asetian bible. I have also done quite a bit of research into the famous "Highgate Vampire case".
I hope to learn more about (Asetian) vampirism in this forum and would be especially pleased if anyone here could help me out in my search for the Vampire Watchers Group. I wrote about this in the other post of mine. If there's anything else you'd like to know about me please feel free to post here or to write me a PM. Pleased to meet you all

Could I have met an Asetian?
I actually didn't buy the Asetian Bible myself but got it as a present from someone. As this person I got if from is spiritually very highly developed I wondered if she may be an Asetian herself. I asked her and she said: "If I was, I obviously wouldn't tell you." So I was wondering: How big are the chances to actually meet a REAL Asetian (not one of the many posers that roam the net)? Has anyone here ever had (real-life) contact with an Asetian?

Re: Just wanting to say hello...
Lightseeker, do be careful here. I remember just prior to entering the ToV when I had come across one of their members or what I thought was a member. She even brought her 5 bibles with her one day to my house, and her children recited the Vampire Creed openly and loudly. She made great claims. After I had been in the ToV for awhile I found out that she had been kicked out of the ToV and the CoS. Now it is difficult to get kicked out of either organization. Wonder what she done?
I am not saying that the one who purchased your AK Bible is not, I am saying keep your wits about you. Folks lie due to their own dissatisfaction with their lives and instead of working on changing they simply live in a fantasy world and constantly look for others to pull into the empty character roles sitting about.

Re: Just wanting to say hello...
Hmm, now see, I don't like that kind of response from your friend for a few reasons. In fact, it tells me that she should hold onto the book and keep reading it for her own benefit. Such a response reflects more learning needed. I'm not saying that to sound like an arse, but we've all seen these kind of responses here. But hopefully, she was just being playful and silly.

Re: Just wanting to say hello...
That was well said and good advice, Witchmark. We must always keep in mind that in the occult world, there are a lot of used car sales men types, and unhealthy folks out there.

Re: Just wanting to say hello...
N. Augusta,
If you would be so kind as to privately send me a link or something in which I can read Lon Milo Duquette as this one has been coming up in conversation I would be ever so thankful, that which you would recommend that is. It is time for me to do a bit of learning, where your studies are concerned.
Thanks for the compliment...it means a lot.

Re: Just wanting to say hello...
Thanks for your comments and insights. Your definetely right that there are a lot of "used car sales me types" in the occult world and I surely have met my fair share of them.
However, this friend of mine really seems to know a lot about Asetianism and says she met Luis Marques once on some Asetian gathering (which accoring to her apparently take place in Egypt, Israel and Portugal now and then). She also has a tattoo of the Dark Mark on the ankle of her left foot but I suppose that proves nothing.

Re: Just wanting to say hello...
Lightseeker, your friend should know more than any of us do and should be able to answer so many of your questions. None of us were participants of the gatherings, well, not that I know of.
However, we do have the Adams Family here though.
This really wasn't meant to sound mean, but if your friend went to the gatherings, then she should really be able to answer your questions.

Re: Just wanting to say hello...
She doesn't want to answer any detailed questions. She says if I just believe in the validity of Asetian teachings because of her then I haven't understood them out of their own value.

Re: Just wanting to say hello...
Since you are asking basic questions, like is the TOS associated with the ROS, for example, and she won't answer something basic like that, then that may tell you something. Just saying!

Re: Just wanting to say hello...
Honestly what does it matter if she is? She gave you assistance on your own journey... she pointed you towards a source of wisdom and insight to process and add to your experiance if you so see fit... don't overlook that by getting wrapped up in the allure and mystique of weather or not she is something special... no one can hand you enlightenment... they can only try to guide you... the rest must be done on your own...
if she were to confirm your suspicions how would that effect your views?

Re: Just wanting to say hello...
Well, at least you can say she was not selling enlightenment, offering it for sale as the TOV or the TOS is doing with their dues, etc. When enlightenment strikes you in that manner, then you can see it is not something that you can buy, it is free, and you can only get it by working yourself.....and you wake up and begin to work with the spiritual realm where you can obtain it.

Re: Just wanting to say hello...
That is ever so true Uncle Fester! N. Augusta made a fantastic reply as well. Now she went off and mentioned the Addams Family....time for an adoption! I think she just might be Morticia. That is it! Hope I got the spelling correct on the name.
Lightseeker, I beg you to use what is between ear one and ear two....your brain! Critical thought process is essential in order to avoid falling into the abyss. One should seek to fall through it rather than into it. The mind is the true ritual chambers anyway.
Love,
Grandma

Re: Just wanting to say hello...
I'm not saying that i believe everything anyone tells me. But I was just wondering if those Asetian gatherings are really so top-secret. I think Luis Marques even mentions the date of one in an older twitter post of his. So while I don't necessarily believe that this friend of mine really attended one I wouldn't totally want to rule it out either....maybe if you had the right connections they'd let you "have a peep in", so to speak.
However, this is not really of so much relevance to me, I know I will certainly never be attending one. Even if I could, I think I'd feel totally intimidated and out of place.

Re: Just wanting to say hello...
How is it possible to like our Grandma? I was .. rested to drink a beer with Uncle Fester when I was informed that my wife Morticia returned home . Now I confirm that was the damn of grandmother who helped her return.
Re: Just wanting to say hello...
Ah, Gomez, what is that old saying....you can pick your friends but NOT your FAMILY! Sit back with ole Fester and have that beer and simply be glad someone loves you.....be nice to your wife!!! LOL! Don't make me get out of my rocking chair.

Re: Just wanting to say hello...
Oh Gomez, darling, the kindness of your complimentary words fill me with such feverishly festive joy. As always, you never cease to woo me over with your passionate words, regardless of how sarcastic they may appear at first glance, but as you know, I know better. Such words do prove to myself, grandma and Fester just how delighted you are with my miraculous return. Margaritaville didn't give me the tan I was hoping for, but I did enjoy nibbling on sponge cake. I couldn't find my way home, as unfortunately they were drugging us with special brewed ingredients in the sponge cakes. Grandma did a locator spell and was able to send Lurch to rescue me. We are so fortunate for grandma, and that he and I made it back safely. Thank you grandma!
Please, be nice to grandma, she loves you! She and I are having a glass of tastefully special home made red wine under the stars in the family cemetery. Raises my glass--its good to be home!
