Hello There
Hello there. I've been lurking about for a bit trying to find some good information here for a while, as well as some similar forums. I am 30 years old and been dealing with some interesting issues for quite some time and haven't really been sure where to turn. Modern medicine has been of no assistance and I have tried so many things where that is concerned. I can't exactly explain what lead me to searching for answers here, but what I can say is that after digging through post after post, a few key things struck me and opened my eyes to some things that I never would have seen had I not come searching here. Ever since things sort of clicked for me, I see everything in a new light, and things that I never thought were out of the ordinary before are now showing their true colors. I don't know what label to put to myself, and I don't really need a label to feel complete. I just know that I am going through a time in my life right now where I am evolving and beginning to understand my nature.
That being said, I have a long way to go in exploring this new world. It's not something I feel comfortable talking with my friends and family about really. They couldn't possibly understand. My husband has been in the loop on my journey, and though he doesn't comprehend it very well, he is supportive of me on my path.
I feel it is time now that I meet others like me to try and learn more, as well as have some people to talk to that understand.
Thank you for having me here.

Re: Hello There
Thanks
If nothing else it is lovely to have some folks to talk to that won't think I'm just a complete lunatic. Even my most open minded friends when I go about explaining it in very non-vampire terms just think I've gone off the deep end.

Oh isn't that the truth! Some answers seem to just be the door to new questions themselves. I have always found in life that one never stops learning and I don't expect my experience here to be any different. The world is ever changing as we are ever evolving. So just as we learn one thing, there are so many more placed along our path. It's very beautiful to me.

Re: Hello There
It's high time I did an intro 2.0 after all these years of lurking.
So I've been studying Asetianism now for I think 16 years now. Parts of that were very slow going, where other parts have been a lot more intense. There have been all sorts of interesting detours along the way where I have gathered little tidbits of understanding that have still been helpful to my path as an Asetianist. It's been an honor to get to know a lot of you on discord over the last few years. What a journey to find a family of people studying a living tradition and slowly become a part of it. I couldn't tell you how many times I've read AB and VT front to back, maybe 50 and 20 respectively, and lots of reading particular sections over and over. In addition I have read threads on this forum over and over by the wise souls that have so kindly shared hints with us what they have gathered over their years of studying. I was lucky enough to be able to purchase the Arcana last year, and working with it has been an experience like no other. It has been a priceless experience to learn and grow with you all, even if I've never spoken to many of you directly that aren't on the discord. I am so grateful that I stumbled into this path all those years ago, and so grateful for each of you who have helped to make my journey everything that it is.
All these years, I've not felt like I had much to say, standing in awe, intimidated at the wealth of knowledge and wisdom present here. I'd love to see this place become more active again though, and I feel a level of responsibility to help in some small way to make that happen. Even if I can't provide some expert thesis on Asetianism, perhaps I could be a voice in some of the replies, asking questions, reviving sleeping threads with real curiosity and theories, and helping to renew the atmosphere in some small way. I'm glad to be back. Em Hotep, friends.

Re: Hello There
Welcome back, it has been a long time. Everyone has something valuable to contribute to this infinite sky that is Asetianism. As you said, it is first and foremost a living tradition, something that must be lived and experienced first-hand, so your personal experiences on the Eternal Path can surely become a valuable asset to others walking their own personal journey through this Violet Road.
For Asetianists the world over it has always been these personal exchanges and forged bonds that transcend distance and the mundane that make us stronger, feared even. Against all odds and united in diversity, in a world too limited to comprehend them, Asetianists forever remain a fiercely undefeatable force.
