Welcome, Indra. Can you explain what you mean by Ardeth path? I haven't heard of it before.

For those not familiar, it's a book about vampire "initiation" so you can be considered "legit". 9__9
I'm sure there's probably something of substance in it, as always I say, there is light in every corner

I agree, there is something to learn everywhere, but in this case, I think the grain of truth, or the gem of knowledge is hidden.

There is no bloody initiation to be a part of the Vampire Community, at least not the one I'm a part of. I don't mean to offend anyone who takes this "book" seriously, but I've only heard reference to it once before, and the woman who referenced it came off quite unbalanced. One of those extremely vague times, claiming great power, yet offering no evidence, explanation or example.

I'm going to search this book, give it a good read (thanks for the link btw), but ultimately I'm expecting it to be a pile of rubbish. This is strictly my opinion, and I'm hopeful that my previous encounter (before this forum) was just a rare exception of the group(s) who take this text seriously.

OP, I hope you find those you seek. Good luck, even if my views differ from yours. (:

Ardetha
/are-death-a/: Vampyres who have been awakened through sympathetic Vampyrism, a magickal system, or by the rare occurrence of an epiphany...Ardetha are rare cases, as the ability to turn another is a great gift or rare ritual. Also referred to as “made vampyres.”

Sympathetic and Pseudo Vampirism are temporary. Awakenings are not turning. "Epiphany" happens more frequently than "rare".

The initial definition reads as a contradiction, to me.
I will leave this thread alone now, I swear I do not intend to offend I will bookmark the Scribd link so that I might return to it.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Can you rephrase?

Sorry, I just figured it out.
I really can't remember her username. It was a long time ago, back when Facebook was still relatively new-ish.

Welcome to the community.

This seems like a book for people desperate to feel special, to pretend to be what they are not.
The path you follow is up to you but this is fake and a waste of time. You cannot just "become a vampire" by reading some book. I suppose we have Hollywood to thank for this fixation on vampires. If people were fixated on things like real growth and real wisdom, imbalanced fictional creations and personalities would have no foothold with which to gain entry.

For what it's worth, the author's name immediately sets off my BS detectors. The name Nyarlathotep is a copy of the fictional H. P. Lovecraft mythos. Hardly a good name to take if one wants to present a valid path backed by real magic and spirituality. I find it funny when people try to use Egyptian names or terminology to lend credibility to themselves and fail due to lack of actual knowledge.

Anyway, time is a valuable essence. Might I suggest taking up a path that has some real substance to it?

I found this quote, I think it might provide more value.

"No accomplished occultist can learn the mysteries of magick or develop an understanding of spirituality by relying solely on books. Any work claiming otherwise is nothing but a marketing maneuver intended to prey on the ignorant and deceive the unaware."

Surerly a relevant quote. Material of books, to the extent of their literary content, must be digested and put into practice as a tool of inspiration towards the same; a practicable outcome. Realization is ultimately within you and no book can lend that aid except for if you take its direction as a hint or suggestion into the right direction.
