Vampirism without philosophy
So I don't really have any spiritual connection to my thirst for blood. I don't know much about asetianism or anything. I just really like to drink blood. I can spend long periods of time making wounds and drinking my own blood, but I like other people's blood even more. Not because I think it gives me power just that it's a really intimate experience and I like the different tastes (except for anemic blood that stuffs like thick water). So, do I count as a vampire? Do I have any place in this community?

Advice coming from someone not as educated- if you're cutting/hurting yourself in anyway for the sole need to "drink blood"- get some help.

Also something else I forgot to mention- if you're really convinced you might be a Vampire- or some supernatural being, or in the case of Asetianism- an Asetian, I'd purchase Asetian Literature if you wanted to learn more about Vampirism. Considering the fact the tradition originates from Ancient Egypt.

Re: Vampirism without philosophy
Spirituality and philosophy is not a need but it helps w/ the struggle trust me I know
Re: Vampirism without philosophy
The phenomenon in question can be understood as a psychological addiction mentality, rooted in a desire to differentiate oneself and experience a sense of power that is fundamentally detached from physicality. Nevertheless, the need for physical embodiment of perceived power, due to feelings of physical inadequacy, necessitates manifestation through a visual representation. Evident in the consumption of an inherently taboo and socio-culturally potent symbol of power: blood. Blood serves as a readily interpretable image, omnipresent in the contemporary zeitgeist, representing absolute and metaphysical power with a necessary and validating sensory component; taste and pain.

Vampirism without Spirituality becomes an empty shell, merely a fetish or even an illness, which is not true vampirism.

Re: Vampirism without philosophy
Vampirism may be viewed as a psychological illness, Spirituality is a philosophical concept. Spirituality without Vampirism is a healthy pursuit, combined with Vampirism it becomes a delusion.Nightshade wrote:jp.vanir wrote:Spirituality and philosophy is not a need but it helps w/ the struggle trust me I know

I’ve been seeing some quite disturbing posting from here lately. If those of you out there are seriously taking blood from non-consenting individuals, log off and turn yourself into the police.

They're on this forum for companionship within their delusion and loneliness, these people do not have the gall to do anything they say they do, it is, without a doubt, an act to impress those on the forum due to misinterpretation and lack of contextual awareness about the forum's purpose.
If I am incorrect, however, then yes, they should at the very least log off, have a very long, hard look at themselves and ask themselves how they came to be this way in the first place.
