Initiation / Ritual

Greetings

I would like to ask if anyone here would have any kind of information about a scene, of a ritual, that would be like an initiation. It looks like it is symbolic, as depending on how it is performed, the adept would really die. I will describe :

The adept receives a deep cut on his body. Almost all his blood is removed, and put inside a box like a sarcophagus.

Then his body is put inside this sarcophagus, inside his own blood.

The lid is closed. He is left there. He is not "dead" , yet not "alive" , as he had his blood removed, but know he is immersed in his own blood.

Do you know any reference to this ritual? Or would you have any kind of interpretation?

The average human body doesn't contain enough blood to be immersed in it. Almost 2 gallons, according to this site: https://wonderopolis.org/wonder/how-much-blood-is-in-your-body

Perhaps it is the initiate's own blood mixed with another animal's blood or a number of humans' blood?

Maybe this was ment metaphorically, like for example the "stories" and legends that were in fact alchemical formulas. Like when say a dragon bursts fire on a cave and the red lady burns inside, when it is meant that you should boil in airtight pot a substance that the red lady represents... maybe

Even if like you both said if that would really be done I think you would die a painful and miserable death. What you described screams of sepsis to me, and even more if the blood is mixed with another animal...

Losing alot of your blood? If you would even survive that....
Bathing in the blood with a deep cut?
Choking in the sarcophagus?
Pissing and crapping in your own blood, with a deep cut in your body?

I was wondering here. The blood is outside, before it was inside.

External what was internal before. And the body, was the outside part now is inside.

Both are still part of the same thing, but in changed position.

I agree with you Jessamine. It is metaphorically meant. There May be a symbolism there... Or not. Lol
