Introduction
Em Hotep.
I would like to show myself respectful to this great community and
make an introduction of myself to you all. I have always held a great
interest in the ideas behind vampirism, drawn to it, even as a young
child. The idea of living on, never fading. Around to watch and view
the Earth, all of the knowledge and changes constantly evolving on
Earth. Such a shame, I thought, that we all would eventually whither
away. Gone. As I grew older, learning more knowledge, still intrigued
by immortality and great energy that attracted me to it. I learned of
other religions. In fact, thousands of beliefs. All very similar at
their core it seemed. I loved to read all different forms of literary
works from all areas of the Physical World. Hermeticism, Taosim,
Ancient Egyptian ideas, Gnosticism, Freemasonry symbols/rites. A bit
of Everything. While other kids talked of reality TV, I read about
strange concepts, religions, ideas. They fascinated me dearly. As if
something pulled me to each study. A thirst almost. A Jack of
All Trades, Master of none. It began to feel like peeling an Onion.
Layers of knowledge and beliefs, beginning at Christianity, I ended up
reading Hermetic texts of the great Hermes Trismegistus which I would
later discover well known also known as Thoth, among countless other
names. Searching for the Source of Everything I have read thus far.
This Journey has brought me here, to find Asetianism. Just receiving
the book a few days ago, taking appropriate time to not only
read, but meditate and discuss what I have read. The amount of
information that it entwines from studies I have already peeled the
veil from brings back a bit of nostalgia. I find the book very
refreshing and it tugs very strongly at the Soul.
Here I stand before you, from a Path few have trodden.
May the Ka be with your Ba,
JWG

Re: Introduction
Oh... using the famous sentence from Master Luis Marques I see. ![Razz](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_razz.gif)
Hello again JWG and welcome. You did good in following my advice to introduce yourself.
I have to say you have an interesting path, not so different from my own. I have been through many religions and belief systems before, hanged out with a lot of different occult communities, mostly in the Pagan side of things, until I found Asetianism and have been amazed so far by how well it ties up the loose knots left from nearly all of the world religions.
I hope you get along with everyone in this community and looking forward to see you active in the other threads.

Re: Introduction
A merry welcome, JWG. I can relate with the draw of Ancient Egypt, though I refuse to let myself go on about my history learning about that land. Have a pleasant time reading and learning from the wisdom of the members of the forum, and remember, duality is the essence of reality. ^.^
