Well, just some guy interested in vampires anyway Wink

Hi all, my name is David, or you can just refer to me as Zentron, I'll respond to either. So here goes with the usual spill, I'm from the UK, the lovely sunny city of Manchester, hitting 40 on the 10th of this month. Been interested in vampires for a few years now and just getting into the different types and the lore behind them, real or not, I just find such things interesting, so decided tonight to find somewhere others who are interested in vampires might gather to talk all things vampiric... I found myself here.

During my spare time I produce drawings, animations, the odd story from time to time, you can probably guess the topic of at least two of my current works, comic illustrations, music tracks periodically and a whole load of other stuff. I practice the discipline of Wicca, the version before ol' Gerry came along, but have interest in all interpretations, also, I'm quite good with the ould bow and arrow!

Far wel.

Welcome, Mate. Half a million people in that town of yours. Must be a bit noisy at night.

Hi Maxx, yeah the machine gun fire and explosions do get a little annoying at times, but you learn to tune it out 😆😉 Not really noisy in this area thankfully, I'm on the outskirts.

Hmm, it's pretty much everything, there's not really any one specific thing, obviously there's the fringe benefits with few drawbacks. The eternal life as long as you consume the blood of living creatures, it's not like we don't do that already to a certain extent, just in this case, depending on source material, it's the exclusive source of nourishment. Again according to the source material, cannot exist in the daylight... as a ginger, that's not exactly any skin off my nose. The increased strength, healing factors, speed, seeing in the dark etc, we'd be giving up little to gain a lot, so there's a lot to attract!

Have you looked into the metaphysical side of vampirism?

Somewhat, I do have a few books, but I've not done anything really substantial, but I'm after learning, hence my joining 😉

Not my main interest being here though, I just do fiction on the side for fun, or when I'm bored, plus I don't exactly adhere to much of the lore when writing any fiction, I just make up stuff there. My joining is on the personal front, expanding myself... other than from the junk food 😁

So your caption indicates you consider yourself a vampire. Why do you feel there is a possibility that would be the case and you are an actual real vampire? Do you have a certificate of authenticity? Where did you acquire that? Inquiring minds want to know?

We have many, many teens coming through the door here wanting to meet a real vampire and be turned? lol. Should we refer all of those to you as it would be great to have a place to placate their inquiries and give them a source?

Actually it was supposed to be taken in conjunction with my first line of my introduction "Well, just some guy interested in vampires anyway 😉", as a way of indicating that I'm not someone whi believes themselves to be a vampire, but that I'm just here out of my interest in vampires.

I turn 40 in under 8 days. I hated the Twilight movies, utterly smeg awful, most vampire films bite, bad pun intended, most novels are the usual luurv stories, boring, and most other fictional media is convoluted rubbish, so I don't bother. I'm just here to talk all things vampiric, excluding fictional material.

Then you might care to check into the Violet Throne Legacy of the Aset Ka. You will find more factual material there about your subject of interest.

BTW, I never have seen any of that twilight material at all. I have no idea what the producers tried to pass over onto the sponge for mind group. I have found actual life is more eventful than anything created in movies or cartoons or even some book material.

As with I, which is why I prefer conversing with real people. As for Twilight... completely uneventful nonsense and an insult to the vampire identity!
